Learning the Albanian Negation is very important because its structure is used in every day conversation. The more you practice the subject, the closer you get to mastering the Albanian language. But first we need to know what the role of Negation is in the structure of the grammar in Albanian.
Albanian negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am not happy).
In Albanian, negation can be made simply by placing "Jo" before the main verb. But sometimes a double negative is required. "jo nuk" is the most common negative.
Nuk mund ta bëj këtë (I can't do this).
Ata nuk kanë të bëjnë asgjë me atë (they don't have anything to do – Double Negative).
Double Negation also: Jo nuk dua të shkoj atje! - I don't want to go there!
Nuk më pëlqen/Nuk e dua. (I don't like it)
