Grammar Tips:
In Catalan
there are 3 main ways of asking a question to get a yes or no answer, and they are the
following:
-Pronoun + verb: Only the ascending intonation and the question mark at
the end make the sentence interrogative: Ella té temps lliure? (Does she have
free time?)
-Verb +...+ pronoun. The pronoun goes last,
normally alter a comma. E.g.: Té temps lliure, ella? (Does she have free time?)
-Finally you
can also make a question by adding a question tag to the end of a statement. Ella té temps lliure, no?
Ella té temps lliure, oi? (She has free time, doesn’t
she?)
