Lithuanian Pronouns

Learning the Lithuanian Pronouns displayed below is vital to the language. Lithuanian pronouns include personal pronouns (refer to the persons speaking, the persons spoken to, or the persons or things spoken about), indefinite pronouns, relative pronouns (connect parts of sentences) and reciprocal or reflexive pronouns (in which the object of a verb is being acted on by verb's subject).

Grammar Tips:

In Lithuanian personal pronouns are:

Aš, tu, jis, ji – I, you, he, she;

Mes, jūs, jie, jos – We, you, they (masc.), they (fem.)

Personal pronouns in Lithuanian have declensions.

Often accusative is used:

gali matyti (you can see)… mane (me), tave (you), jį (him), ją (her), mus (us), jus (you), juos (them masc.), jas (them fem.)

Possessive Pronouns:

Mano (mine), tavo (yours), jo / jos (his, hers), mūsų (ours), jūsų (yours), (theirs).
