Learning the Turkish Adjectives displayed below is vital to the language. Turkish Adjectives are words that describe or modify another person or thing in the sentence.
In Turkish any word that modifies a noun in terms of number, shape, colour etc. can be considered as an adjective. For example:
“Kırmızı kalem” which means the red pencil. Here “kırmızı” defines the colour of the pencil. Since pencil is a noun, kırmızı is an adjective here.
“Uzun bir yol” which means a long way. Here “uzun” ( long ) and bir ( a ) are both adjectives because “uzun” determines the way in terms of distance and “bir” in terms of number.
The basic point is: adjectives modify the nouns while adverbs modify the verbs.
